These are the winds of change, as HBC has been making news lately, both in print and TV media. Since the word got out about the existence of the club, it has spread like a wildfire and hundreds of new cycling enthusiasts have joined the club. Almost every week we are seeing that the club and its members are in the news.
Cycling, both as a sport and alternate means of travel, is getting rightly acknowledged by these articles, and that is one of HBC’s prime aim.
Here are some of the recent mentions:
- Of Distinct Expressions (ODE)
This magazine had a full page article covering the existence of the club, its goals and members. A good and neat read that summarizes the club activities in a terse one-pager.
- Eenadu
The local Telugu daily had a cover story about the club, titled “Cycle Yathraku… Chalo Chalo!”, reading which, there was a deluge of new avid cyclists joining the club and the member count soaring by more than 100 members in just a couple of days! - Deccan Chronicle
The English daily’s primary supplement, Hyderabad Chronicle, had an article covering the members of the club on its front page on 28th April 2009
- DNA – Mumbai Edition
An article covering the current bicycling trends in the country, featured our official blog amidst other club names. This shows that our presence is slowly and gradually being felt as we get counted in the major bicycling communities in the country!

The site had a cover article about the club, titled “Ride with the wind”. A short and nice read inviting the cycling enthusiasts to join this wonderful cycling revolution.
